Cheryl may have been a top-of-the-charts popstar before, but her life has changed dramatically since becoming a mother to her four-year-old son, Bear.

The former Girls Aloud singer, 38, opened up about motherhood in a new interview with Women’s Health, and said her approach to “life and the world” changed when she welcomed her son, who she shares with ex Liam Payne, in March 2017.

“I have a whole different perspective now that I’m responsible for another human. I care less about silly things and more about the important things in life like Bear’s health and happiness, ”she told the magazine.

Since announcing the birth of her first child, Cheryl has worked hard to keep the youngster out of the spotlight and rarely shares photos of Bear on social media.

She and her ex Liam have successfully co-parented their son since their split in July 2018, and the One Direction frontman recently said Cheryl was “the best person” to co-parent with.

Elsewhere in the interview, the Fight for This Love hitmaker opened up about how she ditched the gym and instead preferred to sweat while cleaning the house.

She said exercise “is not high on my priority list right now,” and confessed that she had not done any regular training for over a year.

Cheryl bought an expensive Peloton bike, which she rode a few times and enjoys doing the high octane workouts, but admitted that she doesn’t use it as often as the day’s float. because she is too busy with parenting tasks.

She revealed that she has little time for herself on a daily basis as her routine revolves around the youngster’s busy schedule.

“After I drop Bear off at the nursery, I do my work calls and housework, then it’s time to come get him!” Cheryl explained.

The former X Factor judge discussed her approach to mental wellness and credits meditation with helping achieve inner peace.

Cheryl said it had “changed my life” and that she used two apps – Insight Timer and Calm – to guide her daily sessions.

“I do this every night and sometimes during the day for at least 20 minutes at a time while my son Bear is in nursery,” she explained.

Cheryl also said she sometimes used meditation apps for Bear, which she said were “cute.”

The singer also shared her favorite meal at her “premier” restaurant, and revealed she has a serious sweet tooth.

“Coya in Mayfair, London is one of my favorite restaurants,” she said of the Peruvian restaurant.

“For dessert, I have the orange and lime churros served with chocolate sauce – it tastes like Terry’s Chocolate Orange but a million times better. So delicious, ”Cheryl added.
