PayPal is an American online payment service that enables fast and easy money transactions worldwide. It is an electronic replacement for conventional paper-based methods like checks and money orders.
However, there seems to be a bug in the mobile app that prevents users from transferring or sending money to their bank accounts.
PayPal app crashes when transferring money
Many PayPal users (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,ten) are experiencing an issue where the mobile app crashes or freezes when transferring money to the bank.
hey @AskPayPal, why does my app crash every time I try to transfer money to my bank? ! I NEED THIS MONEY.
same for me so i go to paypal on browser now whenever i need to withdraw money app is bugged atm
@AskPayPal Hello. Since the last app update, I have not been able to transfer funds to my bank account. The application freezes when I select this option.
According to the reports, users are facing this issue since the recent v8.26.0 update. For this reason, some PayPal users are currently unable to transfer money to their respective bank accounts or pay bills.
Interestingly, the “keep money in PayPal” option works fine, but the “transfer to bank” option causes the app to crash.
Affected users even tried deleting and reinstalling the app, but to no avail.
Unfortunately, PayPal hasn’t really acknowledged the blocking issue yet. But they have recommended some general troubleshooting tips that can be followed for a potential fix.
Users can also temporarily switch to the web version of PayPal, as it seems to be working fine for many.
We hope the team finds a permanent solution to the issue where the PayPal app crashes when transferring money.
We’ll be keeping an eye out for further developments and updating the article as something noteworthy arises.
